i. Biography
Colin Spoelman is the co-founder and distiller at Kings County Distillery in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, New York City’s oldest operating whiskey distillery and the first since Prohibition. He is founder and president. He has written about American whiskey in The Guide to Urban Moonshining and Dead Distillers. Sources also is born and raised in Kentucky before moving to New York, where he developed the distillery with David Haskell beginning in 2010.
