i. Biography
Cristóbal Muñoz Ortega is the chef in charge of the kitchen at Restaurante Ambivium in Peñafiel, Valladolid, where he leads a sincere, product-driven cuisine that highlights local terroirs and pairs with wine, contributing to the restaurant's first Michelin star and subsequent renewals. A 31-year-old talent from Almería, he trained at Le Cordon Bleu Madrid, winning its inaugural Promesas de la Alta Cocina award in 2013, and has worked with renowned chefs including Dani García at Calima, Paco Pérez at Terra, and Francis Paniego at Tondeluna. His achievements include the Young Chef Award from the Michelin Guide, Chef of the Year 2023 at Alimentaria, and national finalist in the XX Copa Jerez.
