Where They Are Now

At the Hye, Texas, distillery, Garrison remains tied to the operation as founder and proprietor and as co-founder. That kind of role carries more than ownership; it points to the person who helped establish the standard and still stays attached to it. The day-to-day tone, the expectations, and the public promise all still read through the same name. The key production principle is straightforward: grain-to-glass whiskey, made 100 percent on-site, with no sourcing or tricks. For another artisan, that tells you the house is not building from bought-in spirit or hidden intermediates. The whiskey is made where it is presented as being made, in Hye, with the place and the process kept visible.

Signature

Dan's signature wines include Garrison Brothers Bottled-in-Bond and Garrison Brothers Bourbon whiskey. Read as a maker’s line-up, those names point back to the same Texas house style and the same on-site standard that defines the distillery. They are labels, yes, but they also function as markers of what the Hye operation chooses to put forward under Dan Garrison’s name.

Honors

A central marker in the recognition comes through Garrison Brothers Bottled-in-Bond, the first Texas bottled-in-bond bourbon. It was distilled in the Fall of 2019 and bottled at 100 proof. Those facts place the whiskey squarely in time and in specification, which is what gives the recognition its weight. That bottle also sits alongside the 2010 bourbon as part of the distillery’s sequence of releases. One is an early signature work; the other is a later bottled-in-bond expression of the same Texas bourbon specialty. Both remain tied to the Hye distillery and to the same on-site standard.
