i. Biography
David Hawksworth is an acclaimed Canadian chef and restaurateur based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and the founder of Hawksworth Restaurant Group. After spending a decade in the United Kingdom training in Michelin-starred kitchens including Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, L'Escargot, and The Square, he returned to Canada to lead West Restaurant and subsequently opened his flagship Hawksworth Restaurant in 2011. He was the youngest chef inducted into the British Columbia Restaurant Hall of Fame in 2008 and later established the vegetable-forward restaurant Nightingale and the Hawksworth Young Chef Scholarship.
