i. Biography
David Yoshida is a Master Sommelier who passed the exam in 2017 and later joined the curation team at Preferabli while also serving as beverage director for Threadfin Bistro in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. Earlier in his wine career, he taught wine classes at Yale’s student pub, worked in wine retail, and then moved into sommelier work with the AvroKO group in New York City before spending several years working in vineyards and wineries in Walla Walla, Bierzo, and Chinon. He also serves as vice chair of the Board of Directors for the Court of Master Sommeliers, Americas, and sits on the board of the Aloha Wine Foundation.
