i. Biography
Deniz Şahin is the executive chef and co-founder of SADE Beş Denizler Mutfağı in Teşvikiye, Şişli, Istanbul, where the kitchen is focused on traditional Turkish and Anatolian dishes. She has stated that she did not receive formal culinary-school training and entered the profession through hands-on work, beginning her professional career with Honça in 2004 before later working at Kiva Han in Galata and opening SADE Beş Denizler Mutfağı.
