Architectural training is part of the craft here: Diego Spinoglio moved from Uruguay’s grapevines into architecture, then back to Bodega Spinoglio in Montevideo, Uruguay, to take up winemaking for the family name. After a four-year break to study architecture, the fourth generation returned to vineyard rows, wine production, and the accumulated weight of a family trade.
