The Climb

The first professional training was in Sicily, and Eduardo Torres Acosta started there in 2012–2012 as an intern at Azienda Arianna Occhipinti. That role placed him in a context where island rhythm and vineyard work were part of the same daily register. He then moved into the enologist role at Passopisciaro in Sicily, staying within the same larger terrain where vineyard and volcanic landscape are read together in the wine. Proprietorship at Eduardo Torres Acosta marks the next stage in that progression. The shift from intern to enologist to proprietor shows a career built on narrowing the focus to place while widening responsibility for how that place is expressed.
