Efrén Hernández

Efrén Hernández is the executive chef behind Casa Susanna at Camptown in Leeds, New York, where he leads a wood-fired Mexican kitchen built around in-house masa and Hudson Valley ingredients. He is also associated with Rivertown Tavern in Hudson and, in 2026, with Pez, a coastal Mexican restaurant in Hudson’s Rivertown Lodge, which reflects his broader regional role in the Hudson Valley dining scene. He is a first-generation Mexican-American raised in Los Angeles. He moved upstate in 2020 before opening Casa Susanna in March 2023.
