i. Biography
Élise Hanson is the bar manager at Civil Works in Toronto’s Waterworks Food Hall, where she helped create the cocktail program and menu for the high-tech bar concept. In 2024, she was named Foodism’s Mixology Icon and won Tales of the Cocktail Foundation’s Most Imaginative Bartender competition, a win that led Civil Works’ team to approach her about leading the bar program.
