Ezio Rivella

Ezio Rivella was an Italian winemaker and wine manager from Castagnole Lanze (Asti) who helped found Castello Banfi with the Mariani family and guided the Montalcino estate from vineyard to winemaking and marketing. Banfi describes him as one of the most eminent winemakers in Italy and credits his collaboration with transforming Banfi’s Montalcino land into a center of quality and potential. He was also recognized by the Brunello di Montalcino consortium as a founder of Castello Banfi and as one of the first Italian enologist-managers, serving as consortium president from 2010 to 2012.
