Rudy Buratti was the chief winemaker and oenological director at Castello Banfi in Montalcino, Tuscany. Born in Bleggio Superiore, Trento, he graduated in 1981 from the Istituto Agrario di San Michele all’Adige and joined Banfi in 1983 as an intern before being appointed Direttore Enologo in 1999. Banfi’s profile and memorial notice also describe him as central to the estate’s winemaking team and long-term development of its quality-focused style.
