The Path

An apprenticeship at Domaine de la Mordorée gave Florian Andr the first repetition that winemaking demands: watching, working, and learning to read a season by its smallest shifts. That early training became the base for the rest of his career. Since 2003, Florian has been winemaker of Château de Manissy, and the continuity from apprentice to long-term estate winemaker gives his path its structure. The throughline is discipline built early and carried forward in one place after another.

The Work Today

As winemaker at Château de Manissy, Andr’s work centers on the estate’s vineyards and wines. The job begins in the rows and carries through to the finished bottle, with an emphasis on consistency and on standards that are set before the wine ever reaches the glass. His practice reads as direct stewardship: of the estate, of its farming, and of the wines that carry its name.

Signature

Florian's signature wines include La Belle Etoile and Elzéard Rosé. Those wines define the style associated with his name at Château de Manissy, and Elzéard Rosé remains especially closely linked to his work. Together, they sit at the center of the estate’s identity as presented here.

In Their Words “When the Brothers entrusted me with the stewardship of their vineyards, they were already growing their vines sustainably with a low-intervention approach.” “Our customers deserve good quality wines that are safe to drink.
