Frank Prial

Frank J. Prial (born Francis Joseph Prial) was a journalist and author who became The New York Times wine columnist, writing the weekly Wine Talk column from 1972 until his retirement in 2004. He joined The New York Times as a reporter in 1970 after earlier work at the Newark Evening News, the New York Telegram, and The Wall Street Journal. He was widely credited with helping introduce and normalize serious wine coverage for American newspaper readers over several decades.
