i. Biography
Gérard Barbin is the executive chef of the Alléno Group’s Paris flagship at Pavillon Ledoyen, where he is chef alongside Yannick Alléno at Alléno Paris and as executive chef in charge of the group’s top restaurants. He has also been identified as the executive chef of the Pavillon Ledoyen group for roughly a decade, and as executive chef of the restaurant 1947 at Cheval Blanc in Courchevel. In 2025, Gault&Millau named him its Île-de-France d’Or laureate, and contemporary coverage described him as a Megeve-born chef whose family ran the Capucin Gourmand.
