International presentation work is where the estate was carried beyond Illmitz before the succession fully settled. At Weingut Kracher in Illmitz, Austria (2001–2007), Gerhard Kracher represented the winery at international presentations, a role that put the house’s sweet-wine style in front of trade audiences and helped define its public language before he took over in 2007.

Where They Are Now

Since 2007, the family estate has been run from Illmitz with sweet wines still at the center of the work. Trockenbeerenauslese (TBA) remains the clearest marker of the cellar’s identity in Gerhard Kracher’s hands, the style where concentration, texture, and intensity are made most legible. The numbered collection wines sit at the sharp end of that thinking: not decorative bottlings, but the estate’s stated measure of concentration taken as far as it will go.

Signature

Zwischen den Seen and Nouvelle Vague are the named signatures associated with Gerhard Kracher. In the house’s own vocabulary, those wines sit as part of a broader style system: precise names carrying the estate’s sweet-wine identity without needing embellishment.
