Macquarie University gave Glen Kelly the academic base; Commonwealth Bank gave him the long apprenticeship in pace, structure and judgement. From 1975–2002, he worked as Senior Manager at Commonwealth Bank, a stretch that reads less as a detour than as the kind of disciplined background that later suits wine, where timing and consistency matter.
