    Hákon Már Örvarsson is an Icelandic chef associated with Bocuse d’Or competition success, including a bronze medal, and has worked in prominent Reykjavik hospitality roles including the Holt Hotel, Nordica Hotel, and VOX Restaurant. He later became chef and owner of Essensia Restaurant in Reykjavík and has also appeared as a guest chef promoting Iceland abroad. Sources also describe him as one of the signatories of the New Nordic Cuisine manifesto.
