Heidi Mäkinen is a Finnish Master of Wine based in Helsinki who works in the wine trade as a portfolio manager and partner at Viinitie, with a background built first on 12 years in restaurant service in Finland and the UK. She became Best Sommelier of Finland in 2015, placed eighth in the World’s Best Sommelier competition in 2016, and earned the Master of Wine title in 2019.
