Helen Masters

Helen Masters is the winemaker at Ata Rangi in Martinborough, New Zealand, where she has crafted the estate’s wines since 2003. She re-joined Ata Rangi in late 2003 and quickly became winemaker, after earlier experience as a cellar hand in 1990 and subsequent winemaking work in New Zealand and the United States. In 2019, she was named New Zealand Winemaker of the Year by Gourmet Traveller Wine, recognizing her long stewardship of Ata Rangi and its Pinot Noir-focused reputation.
