Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall

Hugh Christopher Edmund Fearnley-Whittingstall (born 14 January 1965) is an English food writer, broadcaster, television personality, and environmental campaigner. He is best known for the River Cottage television series, which began airing in 1999, and for the River Cottage brand and cookbooks that grew from that work. His early smallholding and self-sufficiency projects became a long-running media platform focused on seasonal, ethically produced food and environmental issues.
