Ivo Duboković

Ivo Duboković is a Croatian winemaker from Jelsa on the island of Hvar, known for pioneering white macerated (orange) wines and for producing cult-status Plavac Mali reds such as Medvid and Medvjedica. He studied economics and worked for years as a marketing professor in Zagreb before devoting himself to winemaking at his family cellar in Jelsa. His wines are associated with the Duboković winery on Hvar and a small-batch, boutique production style focused on indigenous varieties and fuller-bodied, structured wines.
