Jacky Fréon

Jacky Fréon is a French chef who won the inaugural Bocuse d’Or in 1987, establishing him as the first recipient of the competition’s top honor. He later worked under Joël Robuchon in several Paris establishments and built a gastronomic reputation at the Hôtel Lutetia and the Grand Hôtel-Café de la Paix. In 2013, he stepped down after 15 years as president of Bocuse d’Or France.
