James Sommerin is the chef and owner of Home in Penarth, Wales, where he opened the current restaurant in August 2021 after closing his earlier eponymous Penarth restaurant during the pandemic. Home is presented on the restaurant’s official site as “By James Sommerin,” and the venue was reported to have regained a Michelin star soon after opening. Earlier in his career, he spent 10 years at The Crown at Whitebrook before opening Restaurant James Sommerin on Penarth’s seafront in 2014.
