Javier "Javi" Lopez is an American chef and the Executive Chef of 71Above, a modern American fine-dining destination in the U.S. Bank Tower in Downtown Los Angeles. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he trained under chefs Josh Gil and Vartan Abgaryan at venues including Joe's, XIV, and Cliff's Edge. After serving as the opening Chef de Cuisine at 71Above, Lopez assumed the role of Executive Chef in 2019, directing the restaurant's seasonal tasting menus and culinary operations.
