Jean Delport is the Executive Chef at Restaurant Interlude at Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens in West Sussex, where he blends South African heritage with British and French techniques and a strong emphasis on seasonality and foraged ingredients. Born in Cape Town, he trained in the Cape Winelands and Ireland before moving to the UK to open Interlude in 2017-2018, and the restaurant earned a Michelin star in the 2019 guide. He later led Interlude to a Michelin Green Star in 2024 for sustainability.
