Jean-Frédéric Mugnier is the namesake of Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier in Chambolle-Musigny, Burgundy, a family estate founded in 1863. The domaine states that Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier managed the Chambolle vines from 1978 until his death, and that Frédéric Mugnier took over full responsibility for the family estate in 1985. Reputable wine profiles describe Frédéric Mugnier as the estate’s current owner/winemaker and note that he previously worked as an oil engineer before returning to the family domaine.
