    i. Biography

Frédéric Mugnier is the owner and winemaker of Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier in Chambolle-Musigny, Burgundy, taking over full responsibility for the family estate in 1985 after training at the Lycée Viticole in Beaune. The domaine, founded in 1863 by his ancestor Frédéric Mugnier, spans premier cru sites like Les Fuées, Les Amoureuses, and the monopole Clos de la Maréchale in Nuits-Saint-Georges, which returned to family control in 2004 after a long lease to Faiveley. His wines from Chambolle-Musigny grands crus Bonnes-Mares and Musigny are highly regarded in Burgundy.
