i. Biography
Jean-Paul Daumen is the proprietor and winemaker of Domaine de la Vieille Julienne in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in France’s Southern Rhône. He took over from his father in 1992 and has farmed the estate biodynamically, with a focus on low yields and minimal-intervention winemaking. His family has owned the property, and he is now joined in the estate’s work by his son, Antoine Daumen.
