i. Biography
José Luis “Chele” González is a Spanish chef originally from Torrelavega, Cantabria, who has built his career in the Philippines and is known for leading Gallery by Chele and Asador Alfonso in Metro Manila and Cavite. He trained in Spanish kitchens including El Bulli, Mugaritz, El Celler de Can Roca, Arzak, and Nerua before moving to Manila in 2011 to become head chef at Fever in Sofitel Philippine Plaza, then launching Vask in 2013 and later rebranding it as Gallery by Chele in 2018.
