Julian Stowasser has been head chef at Lakeside, the gourmet restaurant at The Fontenay hotel in Hamburg, since March 2020. The Fontenay describes his cooking as modern European, strongly spiced, and open to new things, and says he was previously at Weinsinn in Frankfurt am Main before moving to Hamburg. The Fontenay press pack also notes that he was born in Freising and that his prior experience includes Bareiss in Baiersbronn and a guest stint at Tetsuya's in Sydney.
