A 2025 Nikka-related profile says he joined Asahi Beer’s spirits research division in 1996, moved to Nikka Whisky headquarters in 2001, and later became chief blender. He is associated with the development and presentation of The Nikka Limited, a limited blended whisky released to mark his appointment.
