    i. Biography

    Katie Liu-Sung is the chef-owner of Chewology in Kansas City’s Westport neighborhood, a Taiwanese restaurant that opened after she first ran the concept at Lenexa Public Market. She has grown up between Taiwan and California and later earning an MBA from the University of Missouri before launching Chewology. She has also been named a James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef: Midwest, including recognition and 2025.
