i. Biography
Kevin Judd is a British-born, Australia-raised winemaker who moved to New Zealand in 1983, joined Selaks Wines, and was selected in 1984 to become founding winemaker at Cloudy Bay in Marlborough. He made Cloudy Bay’s first Sauvignon Blanc vintage and stayed for 25 vintages, helping establish the winery’s global reputation before leaving in 2009 to found Greywacke with his wife Kimberley. In 2026, New Zealand Winegrowers named him a Fellow, recognizing his long impact on New Zealand wine and photography.
