i. Biography
Kym Venning is Yalumba’s Head Cooper, responsible for crafting bespoke oak barrels at the winery’s on-site cooperage in Angaston, South Australia. Yalumba describes the cooperage as the only operational on-site winery cooperage in the Southern Hemisphere. Venning has been building wine barrels there for over 30 years. He has also appeared in public-facing Yalumba and wine-industry content explaining the work from tree to wine barrel.
