i. Biography
Sam Wigan is an Australian winemaker and the Head Winemaker at Yalumba and Hill-Smith Family Estates in Angaston, Barossa Valley. Born in the Barossa into a winemaking family, he began his career in 2000 at Peter Lehmann Wines before joining Yalumba in 2001. Over more than two decades at the estate, he spearheaded labels such as Running With Bulls and was appointed Head Winemaker in 2023, succeeding Louisa Rose as custodian of Yalumba's Rare & Fine wine collection.
