Since 2011, the winemaking at Philip Togni Vineyard has carried Lisa Togni’s steady hand and exacting eye. The work sits between cellar practice and long-range planning, where choices are made for vintages rather than moments. It calls for discipline, restraint, and the kind of sensitivity that keeps structure, balance, and ageworthiness in view.

Since 2011, the co-ownership of the estate has also placed Lisa Togni inside the vineyard’s long-term direction. That dual role ties cellar responsibility to the way the estate moves forward, so the current work is not only about making wine but about carrying the property’s identity through each release. The estate’s present output is measured in wines that are meant to live on different timelines. Philip Togni Cabernet Sauvignon is built as a Margaux-type blend with Cabernet Sauvignon at its core, and it is intended for the long haul.

Tanbark Hill Vineyard Cabernet, drawn from selected Cabernet Sauvignon blocks, is shaped for earlier approachability. Together, they show the range of the estate under the same standard of care: one wine built to wait, one built to open sooner.

Lisa Togni’s signature wines are Philip Togni Cabernet Sauvignon and Tanbark Hill Vineyard Cabernet. The first leans into layered structure and longevity; the second moves with a more immediate, open style. Both remain anchored in the same estate and the same cellar discipline.
