Lucas McKinney

Lucas McKinney is the executive chef and founder of Josephine’s Gulf Coast Tradition in Midtown Houston, a Gulf Coast seafood restaurant he opened in July 2023. He is originally from Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and his cooking draws on Mississippi and broader Gulf Coast foodways, including the seafood traditions of his family history. In 2026, he was named to Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs class and Josephine’s received MICHELIN recognition.
