i. Biography
Marc Álvarez is a Barcelona-based bartender and hospitality entrepreneur who co-founded Sips Barcelona with Simone Caporale in 2020. In 2022, he and Caporale took ownership of Boadas, the historic Barcelona cocktail bar, and the venue has continued under their stewardship. Boadas and Sips have both been linked to top rankings in The World’s 50 Best Bars, including Sips reaching No. 1 in 2023 and Boadas appearing in the 2026 Europe list.
