Matjaž Četrtič is a Slovenian winemaker and agronomist who leads the Ferdinand wine house in Goriška Brda, Slovenia. The winery says he took over cultivation of its largest vineyard parcel as a teenager in 1992 and released the first Ferdinand bottles in 1997, building the estate around the indigenous Rebula grape.
