Training in the Mâconnais and in Bordeaux gave Matthieu Baudry the framework for the work he would later bring back to Bernard Baudry in Cravant-les-Côteaux, France. The line from study to estate was direct: in 2000, he returned to join his father and took over running the estate.

Where They Are Now

At Bernard Baudry, the work is winemaking shaped by place rather than formula. Matthieu Baudry describes terroir as something that changes with where the vine sits, but still holds balance through climatic influence and the freshness of the limestone.

Loire Cabernet Franc is the grape Matthieu Baudry works with.
