Melanie Hansche is Food & Wine’s editorial director of special projects and a former restaurant owner. Her career includes Australian Gourmet Traveller, eight years editing magazines and cookbooks for Donna Hay, and food publishing at Rodale. She joined Food & Wine in 2018 as deputy editor. Her current work includes Best New Chefs, Global Tastemakers, travel, and home coverage.
