i. Biography
Miguel Ángel de Gregorio is a Rioja winemaker and founder of Finca Allende in Briones, which he launched in 1986 and built around the historic Palacio Ibarra estate. He later created Finca Nueva in Briones as a second, more accessible project, while remaining publicly identified as the owner and winemaker of Finca Allende. Sources also describe him as a teacher-turned-vigneron and a leading figure in Rioja’s modernist wine movement.
