Training at Austin College gave Robert Likarish a base for the kind of work distilling demands: discipline, structure, and the ability to build a project as well as a spirit. That foundation sits behind Ironroot Republic Distillery in Denison, where his role as founder places him inside the mechanics of making, deciding, and keeping the work on course.

At the Denison distillery, Texas-grown grain is not a backdrop; it is the starting point for the house style.
