Ron Ben-Israel

Ron Ben-Israel is an Israeli-born pastry chef and the chef-owner of Ron Ben-Israel Cakes in New York City, a couture cake studio established in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood in 1999. He trained in dance and later moved into pastry after apprenticeships and work in Toronto and Lyon, and he became widely known after his cakes were discovered on Fifth Avenue in 1996. He also hosted Food Network’s Sweet Genius and has appeared as a judge on multiple food competition shows.
