i. Biography
Sameer Taneja is Executive Chef at Benares in Mayfair, London, where he returned in 2019 after an earlier stint as Head Chef from 2012 to 2015. Under his leadership, Benares regained its Michelin star in 2021 and retained it in 2022 and 2023. His cooking blends British ingredients with Indian spices and techniques, shaped by training and work in French and Indian kitchens.
