Sophie Banh is an executive chef and co-founder of Monsoon, the contemporary Vietnamese restaurant group in Seattle and Bellevue, which she opened with her brother Eric Banh in 1999. She remains actively involved in the two Monsoon restaurants and is described in local coverage as the chef who helps shape the restaurants’ modern Northwest approach to Vietnamese cuisine. Sophie Banh is working in the kitchen at Monsoon Seattle and Monsoon Bellevue, with a focus on fish and salads.
