Steve Matthiasson is a Napa Valley winemaker, farmer, and viticulturist who co-founded Matthiasson Wines with Jill Matthiasson in 2003. His work is rooted in sustainable agriculture and a low-to-moderate alcohol style, and he has also been identified by Ashes & Diamonds as a Napa Valley winemaker. He has been recognized by Food & Wine and the San Francisco Chronicle as Winemaker of the Year, and his wines are known for balance, restraint, and site-specific farming in Napa and Sonoma.
