i. Biography
Szentesi József is the founder of Szentesi Pince, a Budaörs-area winery in Hungary’s Etyek-Buda wine region. He is a rediscoverer of old Hungarian grape varieties predating phylloxera and an advocate of non-interventionist winemaking. He received the Hungarian Borászok Borásza (Winemaker of the Winemakers) award. Sources also place his vineyards around the Velencei-tó area, including Nadap, Pázmánd, and Sukoró.
