Thomas Bühner is a German chef from Riesenbeck who trained at Schweizer Haus in Paderborn and later led la vie in Osnabrück from April 2006 until July 2018, where the restaurant earned three Michelin stars and 19 Gault Millau points. He is currently associated with LA VIE by thomas bühner in Taipei and the Düsseldorf restaurant LA VIE by thomas bühner, which opened in 2025 and received a Michelin star shortly after opening. His cooking is modern, three-dimensional, and shaped by nature, farmers, producers, and European culinary influences.
